Informatics meets Genomics - an historical opportunity.
It has been a while since I last connected. Hope all is well. I am
consulting Mitrionics, Inc., a Hybrid Computing firm growing in the FPGA
acceleration business with a focus on Genome Informatics.
The reason for my note: Mitrionics is poised to drive revenue growth and
to raise a Series C round to do so. We're scheduling a trip with CEO
Anders Dellson and EVP Mike Calise between July 7th and July 11th and I
wanted to make sure we had a chance to talk.
In summary, Mitrionics had good success delivering FPGA co-processor
solutions for servers into HPC, enterprise, and technical compute markets.
The Company has a unique solution that's gaining traction using multicores
from Intel/AMD driving standard FPGAs from Xilinx/Altera. Recently
Mitrionics announced solutions with HP in close collaboration with Intel
and Xilinx (Xilinx is an investor in Series B).
In addition to licensing the Mitrionics platform to early adopters of
accelerated parallel computing platforms, application in the genome
informatics space is delivered. This market is in a high growth mode
presently, but about to hit a compute and data wall - a very special
opportunity.
I will appreciate your letting me know when might be a convenient time for
us to get together to discuss further.
